	Steiff First Grader Club Teddy bear 1998, is 30 cm in size, 5 way jointed, has a growler and wears the typical club medallion around his neck. He is made out of a pistachio green mohair with a pink hand stitched nose, claws, and green eyes. In his hand he holds a posy of candies, a traditional treat for all German children on the first day of school. 	Steiff Club Horse on Wheels, is a replica of a 1929 design. Set above blue wooden wheels, the pony stands 35 cm tall and has a steel frame covered with brown mohair. 	Steiff Festival Teddy bear Whitey, the 2nd, is actual the same bear as the 1st Steiff Festival Bear, only the color is white instead of black. He is 29 cm and issued in an edition of 3000. Comes with a small certificate, does not have a box and is a typical teddy baby. EAN 655340

	Show production Pekinese Chin-Chin, made by Steiff exclusively at the Steiff Festival 1998 in Giengen in an edition of only 300 pieces. He is 20 cm, comes with small certificate and does not have a box. It is a replica of the Pekinese Chin-Chin 1931. EAN 670305

	Fulda Husky-Sledge Set I, consists out of a 15 cm mohair husky dog with red harness carrying a sledge basket and is limited to 3000 pieces. First in a series of three editions. These sets come in nice presentation boxes but does not have any specific certificate. EAN 038617

	Whiskas cat, gray striped, is made for the firm which makes cat food. cat is in crouching position, made out of woven fur and 22 cm in size. He comes with a small certificate, is not limited and does not have a box. EAN 075094

	Milka cow, is made for the firm Milka who is famous for their chocolates. He wears a leather collar and bell, is made out of woven fur and is 32 cm in size. 	Bruno Teddy bear with swimming suit, is 35 cm in size, 5-way jointed, made from blond colored mohair and is limited to 1500 pieces. This is unusual as normally items with a yellow ear-tag are unlimited. The bears wears a blue/white striped swimsuit and has a red towl in his right paw. He was issued by Mayfair and comes in a special collectors box and has a special certificate of authenticity. EAN 655401

	Niklas christmas Teddy bear, is 33 cm in size, 5-way jointed, made from blond colored mohair and is limited to 1500 pieces. The bears wears a red colored waistcoat, bow tie and Xmas hat with white trimmings. In his right paw holds he a little wooden box. He was issued by Mayfair and comes in a special collectors box and has a special certificate of authenticity. In the description is stated that the bear should have a growler but Steiff has confired that the bear was issued without a growler. EAN 655456

	SWR3 Elk, is the same as the Black Forest Elk, but especially made for a German radio station called SWR3. Elk 32 cm in size is dressed in a Christmas outfit. He is made out of luxury acrylic, is limited to 1500 pieces and comes with a small certificate but does not have a box. EAN 996375

	Israel Bird, is 30 cm and limited to 1818 pieces. crown on his head and his tail can be turned around. He is designed to a picture made by Otmar Alt and is made in celebration of 50 Years State of Israel. Part of the revenue has been used to sponsor the planting of new trees in the Negev dessert. 	Goebel Christmas Tree set, is limited to 20.000 pieces and was only available from Goebel. set comes in an exclusive gift box which contains the Hummel Figurine and the brown mohair Steiff bear which is 18 cm in size which wears a porcelain medallion around his neck. set comes with a Steiff certificate. 	Maerklin Wilhelm Tell Set, consists out of two bears, e.g. Wilhelm Tell and its son. Both are dressed in felt clothes, are 5-way jointed and made from light brown colored mohair. This set was not available in the shops because it was used as decoration for a Maerklin promotion. Maerklin is a German company that produces toy trains. There are 1100 of these sets produced and the sizes of the bears are 40 and 24 cm. Comes with a display for the bears, does not have a certificate and does not come in a box. EAN 996528

	Maerklin Elk Set, consisting out of two Elk, 25 and 45 cm in size. This set is produced in a limitation of 1500 and was used as a decoration for a Maerklin promotion and as such was not available in the shops. 	Wine Bon Vivant bear set, comes in a nice gift box with two bottles of "Huxelrebe Beerenauslese" from the Monsheimer Silberberg in Rheinhessen Germany. bear is 29 cm and has in one of his paws a small wine glass. This set is limited to 1500 pieces and does not have a certificate. EAN 996580

	Basenji, a miniature produced especially for the German Basenji-Club in a limited edition of 1500 pieces, 22cm in size and made out of mohair. He comes with a small certificate but does not have a box. A Basenji is a dog from Africa. EAN 996702

	DFB Teddy bear, was issued for the World Soccer Cup in France 1998. He wears the outfit of the German national soccer team. DFB is the abbreviation for the German Soccer Association. bear is 32 cm in size, made of blond mohair and limited to 1998 pieces. 	Indian with Buffalo set, is the Indian fully jointed, 43 cm in size and has a wig made out of real hair, whereas the standing buffalo is 45 cm and is made out of white mohair. This set is limited to only 750 pieces, comes with certificate in a box. EAN 411762

	Orangutan Mimocculo, limited edition of 3000 pieces, 25 cm in size, made out of rust-brown mohair and comes with a squeaker. His eyes are turn-able by twiddling with his ears. He comes in box with certificate. EAN 401312

	Teddy Boy 1905, is a must for those whom have bought Teddy Girl issued in 1997. He is a 50 cm, made out of blond mohair, limited to 6000 pieces, comes with a squeaker, certificate and box. EAN 404320

	Wiener Sängerknaben boxed set, comes with 3 teddy bears issued especially for Austria. Each of the bears is 24 cm in size, and made out of blond, cinnamon and caramel mohair. These bears are dressed in a typical outfit of the famous Vienna boy choir called the Wiener Sängerknaben. uniforms they wear are their daily outfit (blue), concert outfit (white) and historic outfit (black). 	Mickey Mouse, exclusively produced for a shop in Belgium called Donaldson, is limited to 2000 pieces and 35 cm in size. Officially released in 1997 but was not available until 1998. He is made out of blue and white mohair, whereas gloves and shoes are made out of leather. Comes in a nice presentation box with certificate. He is made according to a pre world war design. 	TriBee Teddy bear, is the Belgian exclusive for 1998 iwhich means Belgian Beach Bear. He is made of light blue mohair and is 28 cm in size. He is issued in a limited edition of 1500 and comes with certificate and box. He has three B's stitched on his right paw. Belgian exclusive bears have been issued since 1997. EAN 658037

	Auction Steiff Bear, in an edition of 50 pieces only, has been auctioned on November 6th 1998 in Belgium. benefits of this auction have gone to the children's Hospital Reine Fabiola. bear is made of wonderful long curly mohair in a rich golden color and is 43 cm in size. All bears were signed by Mr. Jörg Junginger. On his left footpad has he the logo of the Belgian Chamber of High Commerce. All 50 bears have been dressed differently, by exclusive designers and shops. 	Gallery Lafayette TriColoure Teddy bear, has light blue eyes, a red ribbon around his neck and is made out of white mohair. These three colors are the colors of the French banner which is called the "TriColoure". Bear is limited edition of 1500 and is 40 cm in size. 	Christmas tree Teddy bear Ornament, was issued for Germany, is limited to 5000 pieces and 12 cm in size. It is actually the same as last years USA Christmas ornament, but is made out of white mohair instead of blond mohair, the nose is red instead of brown and the stitches of the Christmas tree are in different colors. Comes in presentation box, which has the certificate printed on the side of this box. A Christmas ornament has been issued every year from 1996 until 2001. From 2002 onwards there was no special German Christmas ornaments anymore and were replaced by worldwide Christmas ornament editions. EAN 670329

They are made of the finest mohair and come in a box with certificate. year 1998 was the year of the Tiger according to the Chinese calendar and it was planned to issue in the years following years similar sets in accordance with the Chinese calendar, e.g. Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Cock, Dog, Pig, Rat and Bullock, but that never happened. Bommel is a fictional anthropomorphic bear, one of the two main characters in a Dutch comic book series written by Marten Toonder. 	Teaddy, is a Taiwan special edition bear inspired by Chinese green tea. He is limited to 1500 pieces, 28 cm in size and made of precious genuine mohair in a desirable tipped green color. bears left paw shows the stitching of "Teaddy". Further highlights are the rolled certificate, the Chinese style gift box, and the collectable tea box printed with a Chinese Classic written by a famous tea expert in Tang Dynasty (A.D. 618-907).
