Steiff Club
	The Fritz Teddy bear with anniversary plate, is 50 cm in size, 5-way jointed and is limited to 135 pieces. This brand new Margarete Steiff Editions has been produced in honor of Margarete Steiff GmbH celebrating 135 years in business. These editions are truly works of art and the finest and most exclusive modern Steiff items available today. Starting with Teddy bear “Flowers” in 2004, the company has produced a total of nine of these zenith editions. All are characterized by extraordinary fabrics, exquisite designs and detailing, custom accessories, and unique IDs including a stainless steel “MS” button and a silver embroidered jacquard fabric ear tag. He is made from breathtaking dark green tipped Schulte mohair that was commissioned exclusively for this project. When light hits his woolen surface, it simply glows and gives him a most distinguished appearance. This handsome bear is detailed with felt paw pads, a shaved muzzle, a nose cast from pewter, hand made glass eyes, a growler and matching silver colored embroidery on his claws and mouth. Like his predecessor Franz, the design inspiration for Fritz was based on the remarkable history of the Steiff Company. The bear itself was named for Margarete’s brother, Fritz Steiff, who was instrumental in helping his sister grow her fledging felt company to a world-class toy manufacturer at the turn of last century. And it is interesting, and important to note that it was Fritz’s son, Franz, who invented the button-in-ear trademark in 1904. To celebrate these profoundly important family contributions, Teddy bear Fritz holds an anniversary plate that is decorated with 12 historic Steiff buttons - from the years 1904 through 2014 - which are presented in chronological order. These buttons were reproduced especially for this Margarete Steiff Edition. And the plate, which features an embossed elephant, was produced using an all-but-forgotten Steiff patent from the 1930’s. This technology allowed the production of seamless doll faces, replacing the company’s traditional center-seam constructed dolls that had been a mainstay in the product offering since the very early 1900’s. The Steiff design team partnered with felt expert and hat maker Peter de Vries from Hamburg, Germany to help bring this plate idea from concept to collector’s reality. 	The Celebration Teddy bear, is 31 cm in size, 5-way jointed, has a growler, is made from white mohair and is limited to 1880 pieces. Although it is not customary to celebrate a 135th anniversary as a milestone event, it was felt it still deserves recognition and acknowledgement. The Steiff Club is offering its members a special edition to mark the 135th anniversary of Margarete Steiff GmbH. The Teddy bear wears an exclusive gold ribbon around his neck that is embroidered with the “Elefäntle” and the years 1880 – 2015. In harmony with these colors, the eyes, nose and claws complete the look of this Teddy bear, which is lovingly made by hand. Those who are familiar with the history of Steiff will instantly spot the resemblance to Margarete Steiff’s favorite bear and the 1997 anniversary bear, which was released by the Steiff Club as item no. 670152. 	The Event bear 2015 Bubi, only available at special Steiff trunk shows and club events, is 5-way jointed, is made out of faded olive green mohair and is a 21 cm in size. The cheerful, rather cheeky expression earned the Event Teddy bear 2015 the name "Bubi" (German for “little boy”). The bear is wearing a double-layered felt collar, the top layer of which has a charming perforated border. The collar is tied together by a delicate, cream satin bow. Bubi’s nose is hand-embroidered in dark brown thread, and he proudly sports a chest tag identifying him as the “Event Teddy bear 2015”. 	The Cherry Teddy bear, is 33 cm in size, is 5-way jointed and is made from brown tipped colored mohair. The blossom on fruit trees, first and foremost that of the cherry tree, is definitely something particularly special. Its lavish magnificence never fails to delight us. In Japan, cherry blossom is a symbol of beauty and awakening. The cherry blossom season is an extremely important item in the calendar, and it is celebrated accordingly. That is how the cherry came the choice for the second nature-inspired Club edition Teddy bear. This Teddy symbolises the cherry tree and its blossom. The paws and soles are made of brown felt to match the plush. The snout is carefully shorn by hand, and the nose is embroidered in brown thread. Five cherry blossoms in the finest multi-layered organdie adorn the body, and there is another flower on the bear’s right arm. The buds are made of velvet. 	Steiff Club membership gift 2015 Teddy bear, is 10 cm in size and comes in a collectors box with certificate of authenticity. The bear is made out of brown tipped mohair that echoes the color tone of the Cherry Teddy bear. Naturally, the Teddy is 5-way jointed and his nose is hand-embroidered in dark brown thread. However, there is one slightly different detail this year: the bear has a satin ribbon, and so can also be used as an ornament. The bear will only be available in 2015 and the edition size has not been announced by Steiff yet. EAN 421358

Steiff Festival Specials
	Molly dog, is 11 cm in size, not jointed, stuffed with wood shavings, is made from black/white colored mohair and is limited to only 500 pieces. Molly was Steiff´s greatest success after the Teddy bear. Inspired by the heroine in a series of English adventure stories, Molly made her first appearance at the Leipzig Spring Fair 1925 and was a huge success. Such was her popularity that she remained on the range until the 1950s. By 1932 over half a million Molly dog designs were made. 90 years on from her debut a tribute is paid to this champion canine with a special show production. The limited edition of only 500 will be made right before the eyes of all those lucky Steiff Summer 2015 visitors. She adds further delight sporting her pink satin ribbon with little bell, just like yesteryear. Molly has a certificate of authenticity but does not come in a box. EAN 673887

	The Steiff Summer Festival workshop Teddy bear has been produced in an edition of 100 pieces at the Steiff Summer Festival 2015 in Giengen Germany. The unusual aspect of this bear is that there is no bear in this edition of 100 pieces which looks alike. Each bear was produced by one of the 100 participants of the workshop organized by the Steiff Club during the Summer Festival. The bears paws are embroidered with "10 Jahre Steiff Workshop" (right) and name of the participant and date of the event (left). Each participant could choose the color of the eyes and the yarn for the stitching of the nose, mouth and paws. The growler and eyes were put in by the participants as was the stitching done by themselves. They had to stuff the bear as well with some of the wood shavings after they had put in the growler. 	Tigger, is 19 cm in size, not jointed, is made from light brown/black colored mohair and is limited to 2000 pieces. "TIGGERRRR!" The light brown and black striped Tigger doesn´t know what to do with his high spirits. That´s why he lets out a Tigger primal scream to alert his friends to his presence. Then he leaps onto the tree next to him (so that he can easily get down again) and looks down at the others. Fantastiggerish: Everyone is there... 	Otto bear with Ottifant, is 40 cm in size, 5-way jointed, made from blond colored mohair and is limited to 1500 pieces. Otto Waalkes is a German comedian and actor. He became famous in the 1970s and 1980s in Germany with his shows, books and movies. His perhaps most famous trademark are the 'Ottifanten' ('Ottiphants'), elephant-like comic characters of his own design. The first 50 bears sold were hand signed by Otto on the bears trousers. He is dressed in a polo shirt, trousers with suspenders, sneakers and wears a cap. In his right paw he carries the famous Ottifant. The bear has blue eyes as does Otto himself. 	The Volkswagen lamb, is 16 cm in size, not jointed, is made from white colored plush and is not limited (yellow ear-tag). He wears a special VW (Volkswagen) chest tag. 	Hotel Adlon Friedrich elephant, is 18 cm in size, not jointed, made from gray colored plush and is not limited (yellow ear-tag). The Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin is a luxury hotel in Berlin, Germany. It is on Unter den Linden, the main boulevard in the central Mitte district, at the corner with Pariser Platz, directly opposite the Brandenburg Gate. The original Hotel Adlon was one of the most famous hotels in Europe. It opened in 1907 and was largely destroyed in 1945 in the closing days of World War II, though a small wing continued operating until 1984. The current hotel, which opened on August 23, 1997, is a new building with a design inspired by the original. Friedrich does not come in a box and does not have a certificate of authenticity. 	The Teddy bear 1912, is 34 cm in size, 5-way jointed, has a growler, glass eyes, stuffed with wood shavings, is made from black colored mohair and is limited to 1000 pieces. Thoughtfully, he inspects us. No wonder! It was by chance that he was discovered at all: a collector in England bought a case of old dolls and Teddy bears at an auction - by remote bid, as she liked the auction description so much. When she unpacked the case, she discovered a fascinating black bear with no marking and immediately suspected it could be a Steiff bear! Steiff Special Europe
	Alpenglueck Teddy bear, is 31 cm in size, 5-way jointed, is made from gray colored mohair and is limited to 1500 pieces. From the middle of September the Bavarian streetscape changes... people of all ages stroll along in traditional costumes, celebrating "Volksfest" in their "Dirndl" dresses and "Krachlederne" leather shorts. Alpenglück Teddy bear happily joins the throng. Through his curly hair in gray mohair you can make out an olive green undercoat, paws and sole reprise this trendy color. And of course he thought of his dearest and brought them a present - a heart shaped pendant in checked cotton fabric with lace and an embroidered "Edelweiss" on green fabric. 	Idefix (Dogmatix), is 17 cm in size, 1-way jointed, is made from white/black colored mohair and is limited to 1965 pieces. Idefix, the cute little friend of Obelix has first appeared in the album "Asterix and the Banquet" in 1965. Idefix has celebrated in 2015 his 50 Anniversary! He owes his name to a contest in the magazine Pilote (chosen by the authors from among suggestions such as "Patracourcix" or "Papeurdurix"), Idefix plays an important part starting with Asterix and Cleopatra, his infallible sixth sense allows him to save our heroes from certain death in a pyramid (true, there are worse places to be entombed, but none the less!). He later becomes famous for his environmental concerns which are very much ahead of their time (he can´t bear the thought of anyone harming a tree). And his success seems to know no bounds since Albert Uderzo, who has never disguised his pleasure in drawing Idefix, has given him a regular role in the albums for which he writes the scripts. Much to Asterix´s surprise, he even gave Idefix the gift of speech in the 2003 story Chanticleerix, which can be found today in the Asterix and the Class Act album. 	The Wiesn waitress Teddy bear, is 24 cm in size, 5-way jointed, made from brown tipped colored mohair and is limited to 500 pieces. Around 1,600 “Wiesn” waitresses and waiters work at the biggest fair in Munich every year. Each one of them walks an average of 230 km over the 16 days, delivering countless quantities of the beer steins – each one weighing over 2 kg – to happy revellers. It’s a tremendous achievement, and one that Steiff is honouring as part of its Oktoberfest series with this new Teddy bear creation. She is wearing an apron, blouse and scarf, and is carrying three beer steins in her paws. This bear was issued by the German department store KaDeWe. 	The Vagabond Teddy bear, is 30 cm in size, 5-way jointed, made from brown/multicolored mohair and is limited to 1500 pieces. Have you seen me? In the English garden in Munich? Or maybe the day before yesterday in Berlin? The Vagabond is constantly traveling. He travels around the country, meet nice people, would be glad if he is included and has much to tell his hosts. His robe of mohair is of course here and there patched. How should it otherwise be? He wears a scarf made of cotton checked fabric and above the right ear of the bear a flat cap made of wool felt. 	Every year since 1998, a Museum bear has been produced for the Margarete Steiff Museum. These bears have proved extremely popular with Steiff fans and collectors. So this year too, the popular series of Museum Teddy Bears is being continued. The Steiff Museum Bear 2015 is 28 cm tall, 5-way jointed, and is traditionally handcrafted in the finest white mohair. Around his neck he wears on a ribbon a porcelain badge on which "Steiff Museum" is printed. The Museum Bear has jointed arms, legs and head, hand-stitched claws, has a growler and is limited to an edition of the sold bears during the year 2015. 	Carolus Magnus the Hutschenreuther Christmas bear, is 28 cm in size, 5-way jointed, made from olive green colored mohair and is limited to 1500 pieces. This Teddy bear is named after Carolus Magnus the founder of the famous Hutschenreuther porcelain factory. Hutschenreuther celebrated in 2014 its 200 anniversary. 	The BMW Sports Trophy Team Studie Mopsy pug, is 25 cm in size, not jointed, made from beige colored plush and is not limited (yellow ear-tag). The pug is dressed in a shirt of the BMW Sports Trophy Team Studie. Steiff is the main sponsor of this Japanese racing car team. Mopsy does not come in a box and has a certificate of authenticity. 	Rilakkuma, is 30 cm in size, 5-way jointed, made from blond/white colored mohair and is limited to 1500 pieces. Rilakkuma is a fictional character produced by the Japanese company San-X, created by former employee Aki Kondo. Companies such as Re-Ment have collaborated with San-X to create Rilakkuma merchandise. Rilakkuma appears on items such as stationery, dishware, backpacks, and stuffed animals. Rilakkuma's name is a combination of rirakkusu, a Japanese transliteration of the English word "relax", and kuma, the Japanese word for "bear". However, what made this year's announcement special was a revelation online that tied into the special event.
